Reflecting on the discussions held on the presentations of CEDAW Member AKIZUKI Hiroko, and MOFA Minister`s Cultural Exchange and Overseas Public Relations Division Director SUZUKI Ritsuko, HASEGAWA Sukehiro noted the ideas of (1) holding a “Kyoto Conference” like the Davos Conference to discuss what Truth, Goodness Beauty means, (2) establishing in Japan a UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Representative Office for Asia and the Pacific region, and (3) taking interim special measures to eliminate gender discrimination in the political sphere in Japan.
