President José Ramos-Horta met with Mr. Yasushi AKAKI in Tokyo and celebrated the Timor-Leste National Day in Osaka. He thanked Japan for having helped Timor-Leste in gaining independence and building its economy, and expressed his appreciation of a critical role played by Mr. Hasegawa as SRSG.
