The Japanese people, especially the youth, should grasp the importance of Japan’s role ininternational affairs and how it can impact the world.(4/5/2025)

In Chapter 17 of the newly published “Handbook of Japan`s Foreign and Domestic Policies During the Decade of Abe”(Amsterdam Univ Press: March 26, 2025), Dr. Arbenita Sopaj, KPC Secretariat member of the Kyoto Peacebuilding Center, noted that Japan has occupied a promising strategic position in East Asia as the most peaceful nation that could contribute to the region’s stability. While instability has been widespread in East Asia, Japan should assert a greater level of presence. To that end, it is imperative for Japan’s people, especially the youth, to grasp the importance of Japan’s role in international affairs and how it can impact the world with a revised constitution.
